The world is changing so fast that it is becoming increasingly difficult to stay clear and confident in your direction. It is difficult to find time these days to take deep breathes and exhale site here.
My three-year stint in Italy was a major turning point for my life. The experience was exactly as I had envisioned it since living in Florence for 13 years. It was now time to make my dreams come true. My new life was simpler than I’d imagined. My car was no longer necessary. I could easily manage my daily necessities by taking my pink, beloved bike. It was easy to ride my pink Bike to the grocery shop. In other instances, I took the bus or train to Florence in order to visit family members and see places that I found interesting.
I was also able to start my own vegetable patch. It produced delicious zucchini, tomato and other seasonal vegetables. The trees gave walnuts as well as persimmons. It rained three weeks straight last year. Basil, Sage and Rosemary infused my garden’s air with their wonderful aromas. I also used the flavors of basil, sage, and rosemary in my chicken dishes, pasta sauces, tomatoes, and sauces. It was because I enjoyed the beauty I saw around me more than TV that I spent more outdoor time and in nature.
The little things I did, whether it was drinking a morning cappuccino outside while enjoying the Mediterranean sunrise, sipping a chilled margarita or taking in the Mediterranean scenery, had a significant impact on my quality of life. My life became more peaceful. I was surrounded by the beauty of Nature. I felt calmer and more relaxed.
I found it more difficult to earn enough money in Italy. By utilizing my ideas, contacts and connections I continued to try to get work. I began designing jewelry again, my passion. My life became easier. When you love what you do, work becomes unnecessary. Passion and joy are the key to a fulfilling life. It’s then that the Universe starts to conspire in your favour and you begin to receive abundance.
You can have a very simple life, if that is what you desire. I try each morning not to get distracted by all the chaos going on in my life. My passions and TV are off. This helps focus. It’s my goal to calm down that inner chaos and turn it outward chaos. Even though I do not live in Italy any longer, I keep everything simple.
Rose Quartz is my favorite to help me stay calm. I also wear green gemstones to maintain Heart-centered wishes, goals, or visions. In my book Follow Your Heart I describe Gem Therapy as one way to enhance your life’s energy.
I believe strongly in meditation, creative thinking, and time spent outdoors. Our world is full with wonders, beauty, and magnificence. The only thing needed is to slow down.
Morning meditations are one of my favorite discoveries. One day I started feeling a blossom inside my chest. Clear vision entered my mind. My body was wrapped in energy. The energy entered my middle spine, between the shoulder blades. A torus energy field is created by our hearts. After a deeper investigation, my findings were astounding and I wrote the book “Follow Your Heart.”
What you decide to do with life is important. This life has a much greater meaning and purpose than we can ever comprehend. You must remember your purpose in this time of rapid change and increasing difficulty.
